PKTDMA vs CDMA

Hi,

     I confuse the benefit between PKTDMA and CDMA.  From SRIO User Guide, it looks like the descriptor has been managed by both PKTDMA and CDMA. I don't get why we need both to push/pop the descriptor?  Both MCSDK 2 and 3 user guide refer Packet DMA as CPPI, are they interchangeable?
