TMS320dm6467T wont boot

 Hi, this question is in reference to my previous question -->  e2e.ti.com/support/dsp/davinci_digital_media_processors/f/99/t/425564#pi317334=5

   One of the questions asked to me was wether or not i was gettting a "BOOTME" message from the serial output. at the time of the question, my answer was NO. However, i am now getting "BOOTME" from the serial output.  Where do i go from here?

Another question that was asked to me was if i knew how to set/change  the BOOT MODE, at the time my answer was NO. However, i FINALLY got a response from the manufacturer and he provided me with this......

Hi, here is the info about boot mode.

RNS39 = 1k, RNS40 = n.a. --> BTMODE[3:0] = 0111 (NAND boot)
RNS39 = n.a., RNS40 = 1k --> BTMODE[3:0] = 0000 (emulation boot)

Thanks,
Hayden

I managed to locate the positions of RNS39 & RNS40 on the board but i am not clear as to what type of components they are.  i did notice that on the board, RNS39 has a component in place and RNS40 is unpopulated (no device in place). SO im guessing that the board is set to NAND boot mode?? which makes sense. but where do i go from here?

 And FYI, i also have purchased a JTAG emulator (TI XDS100v2)  with a 14pin ribbon cable connector.

  • can someone help me make sense of this.... i understand that RNS39,  RNS40, RP34 & RP109 are component locations on the board. i also understand that RES102 is a resistor. what i dont understand is.... what is  the significance of BTMODE3, BTMODE2, BTMODE1, BTMODE0??  see attached picture.   this came direct from the  manufacturer.
