C6727 dMAX to EMIF - bursts

Excuse me hijacking this thread. I am working on a design requiring a DMA access between internal memory  and an async peripheral connected to EMIF on C6727. Most of the documentation is written for the case of transfer to/from SDRAM. Do I understand correctly that EMIF on C6727 doesn't support bursts in async mode? How close the individual DMA transfers will be? Is there an appnote or any other document describing this sort of transfer in detail?

    If you go to the TMS320C6727B Product Folder and click on Technical Documents, you will find a list of the Application Notes and User's Guides that are available for the C6727B. Look for one with EMIF in the title for details on the operation of the EMIF peripheral.
