Does data pins of I2S(data in & out) must configure to AXR0 and AXR1 with McAsp1 port ?

Can I configure AXR5 & AXR6 as data pin in I2S mode and AXR0~AXR1 for I2C use?

Hi Mickey,Each McASP's data pin (AXR1-16) can be configured absolutely independently as Rx or Tx.

Hi Stan,

Sorry, I also have little question.

So, The order of data(AXR0, AXR1, AXR2...) is not necessary when I use McAsp port, right?
Can I skip first and second bit (AXR0, AXR1) then use AXR5, AXR6 directly?

Mickey,

Correct, MCASP has independent serializers/deserializrers on each data pin. You can enable/disable as Rx/Tx according to your application.

Yo can even pass different data formats through the different serializers.
