DM6467t flash

Hi all,

 

We're trying to develop a bord over the dm6467t processor, and while looking for the  flah it seems that it's very hard to fint the NAND01GW3B2AZA6E, has anybody found a direct substitute for it? If not, is there any fast way to substitute it?

    Xavi,

    Will you be using the NAND boot? If yes

    1> You have to choose a NAND part with ID from the Table4 of "http://focus.ti.com/lit/an/spraas0c/spraas0c.pdf".

    2> Also check the limitations in section 3.6.4 (Limitation of NAND Flash Device Selection for NAND Boot).

    The above limitations are by RBL (ROM Boot Loader) to identify the NAND part(geometry/parameters). Once UBL starts running almost all devices can be easily identified. If you don't use NAND boot, then you need to worry about above two limitations.

    You mentioned its hard to find "NAND01GW3B2AZA6E" (the one used on DM6467T EVM). The latest version of same part (NAND01GW3B2CZA6) is available and is used on RevC version (latest version) of DM6467T EVM. If you don't find this part, I recommend you to contact manufacturer for the compatible devices.

    Hi Srirami,

    Thanks for answer. Actually not necessarily we'll boot from the flash, but when we've tried to boot from the eeprom it only appears the bootme. How can we enable the booting from the eeprom? and also, to write it, i guess we have to use a eeprom writter, o de EVM can do it by itself?

    By the way, I also checked the NAND01GW3B2CZA6, and also it's hard to find it, we're still looking for distributors.
