Which is the cheapest DSP in TI store, I can use for fingerprint detection and reading?

I am making a project in which I need to read and check fingerprints. Which DSP should I use?

Is TMDX5535EZDSP is suitable or not?

Kshama,

Yes, you can use the C5535 or the C5545 (smaller size) for this application.

To reference, there used to be a Fingerprint Development Kit based on the C5515 device, but the FDK is no longer supported.

For a device with a bit more horsepower, also check out the C6748 if interested. www.ti.com/.../TMS320C6748
