Hi all ,

we are unable to detect the camera in the kernel log when we connect the analog camera to the DDR74X board .

In log it showing

6.406210] tvp5158 1-0058: Unable to of_probe

[ 6.411333] i2c 1-0058: Driver tvp5158 requests probe deferral

[ 6.418440] tvp5158 1-0058: Unable to of_probe

[ 6.422921] i2c 1-0058: Driver tvp5158 requests probe deferral

we are using GLSDK 7.04.

please tell me procedure to detect a camera .

Hi Sunil,

Can you share what camera you are using, and are you connecting it directly to the JAMR3 board?

From the the Software Developer's Guide on tvp5158, can you probe I2C Bus 2 address 0x58?

The TVP5158 driver is looking for the boardmux to be enabled
If it cannot get the boardmux, the driver probe fails.

In this case, it is trying to request GPIOs from expanders on i2c5 and i2c4
Make sure that you have done the switch settings as mentioned in the Software developers guide
