Hi,

I have started layout with the AM3505 ZCN package and noticed that there is a new ZER (1mm pitch) package.

I would like to migrate to the ZER package but only if there is a "clean" way of doing so which means replacing the Orcad Capture symbol without dealing with any other drawing issues.

is there an ZER Capture symbol which preserve the pin functions location at the symbol and only change the ball name (i.e. A24 turn into G15 etc.) Tha will give the option to just pick and replace the symbol...

No, currently we do not have similar shaped symbols with only the pin numbers changed for the two packages. We can see how this would be valuable in your case and will consider making this change if the symbols are updated and re-released. However, there are no updates planned at this time.

The best way to make this change in your schematic is select the part in your schematic, right click and select edit part. This will allow you to change the pin numbers in your current schematic without redrawing all of the connections.

I got an offline answer from TI that says that TI has a ZER ORCAD Capture symbol.
