I found this which can help you get started with HTTP on the board:

There are also some networking examples in TI-RTOS that you can reference, these can be found in TI Resource Explorer under:
TI Network Examples -> Ethernet Examples
There you'll find some examples on how to use TCP.

Hi Gerardo,

I saw the HTTP_GET example for a different board and tried to add the HTTP request commants in the TCPecho example.
If I do that my project is not building and gives me an error at "#include <ti/net/http/httpcli.h>"
Also I can not add the Http-Basic module from the available products.

I tried to port the entire HTTP_Get exmple to my board from the EK-TM4C1294XL examples.
I am getting :
Error! code = 400, = httpTask: cannot get status
after running the functino "HTTPCli_getResponseStatus".
I am using "requestb.in" as my Host to test HTTP requests being sent

Do I need to set anything else to use my board as a HTTP client. I am not trying to create a server.

Could you tell me what the error you were getting when you tried to "#include <ti/net/http/httpcli.h>" was?

Try defining NET_NDK as a predefined symbol, you do this under project properties:
CCS Build -> ARM Compiler -> Andvanced Options -> Predefined Symbols
That should get rid of that error.

Your suggestion resolved the build error but I am still geting "Error! code = 400, = httpTask: cannot get status" while running the example.

I changed the "www.example.com" to the link provided on requestb.in to monitor the requests I am sending.
Do I have to make any other changes?

Hi Hardik,

The error you're getting, HTTP Status code 400, is due to a bad request. You may need to update the REQUEST_URI to the request bin’s URL that you created.

Sorry I forgot to mention. I have tried updating REQUEST_URI to the request bin's URL as well.
I still get the same error.

I just ran the example again with following definitions:

#define HOSTNAME "http://requestb.in/sfyyeosf"
#define REQUEST_URI "http://requestb.in/sfyyeosf"
#define USER_AGENT "HTTPCli (ARM; TI-RTOS)"

the link is what I just created on requesntbin's website and I still get same error code.

I am a bit confused about what the HOSTNAME should be.
