I just read about the AM37x as a compatible successor of the Omap35xx.
Is it possible or recommendet to use the AM37x SDK (ver 4) ? Or what is the recent Omap3 SDK?
Regards
Arno

Arno,
You can not use the new AM37x 4.0 SDK on OMAP35x. The new 4.0 SDK does not yet support all the peripherals on OMAP35x, particularly the DSP. There are also important differences in support for the different types of DDR memories used on the processor modules.
The main features of the new SDK 4.0 is an easier installation process, Matrix example program menu, integrated Qt SDK and CCS v5 (Eclipse) IDE. There is more information here:

These features will be included in a future SDK release for OMAP35x. Until then, the latest software for OMAP35x is still available here:
