HI all

i am currently using BeagleBone Black with AM3358
I am working on one project where i have to manage communication thru EtherCAT, which mean i need to implement EtherCAT master on BeagleBone Black

unfortunately, i cannot find any easy-to-read tutorial or guide so i dont know, what software (or extra hardware) i need

i would appreciate any help/advice from anyone

Martin,

we do not have readily available solutions for EtherCAT master. However there are multiple commercial and even free solutions that you can try.

Vendors for commercial SW are Acontis, Koenig PA, 3S (CoDeSys) just to name a few. Also you can have a look at SOEM, a free EtherCAT solution with a Linux interface. You may also find further info by searching the forum.

There is a TI Design http://www.ti.com/tool/tidep0043 describing the Acontis solution.
