DRA726: PCT_DRA72x Startup

Part Number: DRA726

When I run the PCT program the Package part is greyed. I can only select between SR2.0 and SR1.0

The part we use is DRA726APGABCQ1

System used is ubuntu 14.04 and java is 1.8

Is there a pinmux file I can use? Our design is based on the automotive evm so starting from there would speed up my work.

    The DRA72x device is advertised as ABC package only. Thus, you will not see any other available selection in the package drop down menu.

    I will ask around if we have PCT configuration files for DRA72x EVM. Will keep you posted here.

    Thank you. I was wondering if you were aware of the issue we have on Linux.

    The program is installed on Ubuntu 14.04, I have Java 8 from Oracle. My desktop is Mate

    When I click on the icon in caja it bring me the usual menu but there is no option to select Silicon Revision. The pulldown menu works but the items are gray.

    When I open a terminal and go to the directory and run the java app it works fine and I have a choice between SR2.0 and SR1.0

    There is no option to select the package either way.

    Not wanting to have to do that all the time I created a script that goes to the directory and run that app. I need to find an icon for it ...

    Not aware of such issue. Looks like it's graphics issue on your custom desktop environment. On my generic ubuntu distribution everything is fine with the menus. If you are all good now with your inquiries please mark this post verified.

  • It is not a graphic issue, we could blame caja but I am not convinced. It appears that the java program must be ran from the directory. It is either a problem with java or the application.
    When I click on the item in Caja it doesn't switch to the directory to run it.

    I added the path to the directory but that didn't change anything. The only way I got it to work was to run from the directory. I create a script to just do that.

    I also tried running from the root of the user giving the full path

    You need to either fix the bugs or change the documentation to warn about this possible problem. I am not likely to be the only one to have encountered this issue.

    Now the big work for me it to figure out how to modify this to match our hardware, the instructions I found are not very clear. So that will take a steep learning curve. Do you have some training video or some better documentation than the pdf file provided?

    I am not able to change items as simply as in pinmux. It is not obvious for example how I would set the GPIOs individually or set DCAN1, DCAN2, misc SPI, UART, I2c, etc to the proper mux
