Linux: latest SmartRF Studio is not working on linux xubuntu

Hello,

i hope i have placed the topic in the right forum area. My problem is, that the SmartRF Studio software doesnt work on any linux machines i have (its all xubuntu). couldnt find either a topic for this problems in the forum or somewhere else in the internet. The problem is always the same: the program does not find these files: msvcr120.dll, msvcp120.dll and qt5core.dll. This are the error messages:

Alls the dll's are part of the microsoft visual framework 2013. But while the installation of SmartRF Studio, i can see how the setup program is unpacking and installing it (the framework). But none of the dll's are in the folders system32 or syswow64. Can anyone help me?

    Add: I've already tried to install the missing DLLs by my own but then it says that he cannot open them.

    Hi Ludwig,

    Sorry for the delay in replying.

    This forum supports linux OS running on TI devices.

    I am not familiar with this development tool, however, when looking at its description in the download page:

     

    I see the following stated:  

    "Description

     SmartRF™ Studio is a Windows application that can be used to evaluate and configure Low Power RF devices from Texas Instruments."

    So your chance is to try and use wine or similar tool to try and run windows applications on linux OS, but as far as I understand this tool is not meant to run on linux.

    I know that its an windows application and of course i was starting it with wine. The part i was not posting is that typed in "wine start_window.exe" but then the error messages i posted returns. The problem is that its seems to be that all other users can run smartrf studio under wine... Maybe its an issue with Xubuntu... because i could only test it with xubuntu machines. I know spend a lot time to answer but maybe anyone could help anyway?
