Linux/AM3358: Problem with TI-processor-sdk-linux-am335x-evm-03.02.00.05

Part Number: AM3358
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM3352, TPS65910

Tool/software: Linux

Hello,

A couple of days ago I switched from processor-sdk-linux-am335x-evm-02.00.02.11  to  processor-sdk-linux-am335x-evm-03.02.00.05  in order to check if a problem in a driver for SC16IS7XX (I2c to UART bridge) in krenel 4.1 is fixed in kernel 4.4.

When I first prepared an SD card and installed the pre-built images from SDK, everything went smooth.

The problem is that when I rebuilt the original am335x-evmsk.dts file (by typing: make ARCH=arm CROSS_COMPILE=arm-linux-gnueabihf- am335x-evmsk.dtb in the SDK home directory) the result was a 41KB dtb file, different from the original 40.9KB dtb file, and when I loaded it to the SD card the result was an error, as can be seen in the following log:

[ *** ] (2 of 4) A start job is running for dev-ttyO3.device (16s / 1min 30s)

This happens both on the EVMSK and on our board so it's not a HW problem.

BTW, these "jobs" follow one another and never end.   Any suggestions?
