hello,

I use AM5728 board. I can get the YUV data with the Gstreamer by the method !qtdemux ! queue ! h264parse ! ducatih264dec!vpe!appsink!. But I want get RGB data . if I use software to convert YUV to RGB,It consum more CPU time. How can I do ?

vpe itself is capable of converting to RGB but gstvpe plugin doesn't seem to support RGB as output format in caps. Some changes are needed in gstvpe for this.

You can try with testvpe application to convert yuv to rgb

I can not find testvpe application in ti-processor-sdk-linux-am57xx-evm-03.00.00.04! How can I get a vpe example? Thank you.

Your tarrget filesystem will have testvpe binary in /usr/bin
You can get source code here git.ti.com/.../example-applications

You can try with below command to scale and convert to RGB
testvpe /usr/share/ti/video/airshow_p352x288.yuv 352 288 nv12 /usr/share/airshow_rgb.yuv 320 240 abgr32 0 1

In gstvpe, missing RGB output-format can be added following this source code.

Get NV12 yuvdata in gstvpe,then memcpy yuvdtata to srcBuffers of testvpe. The memcpy funchion cost most CPU time.Do you have the fast way?
