DM6446 USB HOST

hi:
      I'm programing on dm6446, this support 4 usb devices, some problem
happied, help.

kernel is : 2.6.10, (and this problem on git kernel-2.6.32 also)

hard desigined:
        CPU connect usbHUB, this HUB connected 4 usb device, (4 HUAWEI EM660)

something happy:
          1. i'm runing 3 device OK only, random. but only 3 device
          2. using the forth device trying, but no response.

Danny,

Pl. enable interrupt endpoint scheduing in the usb menuconfig on 2.6.10 kernel. It should address your issue.

this CONFIG_MUSB_SCHEDULE_INTR_EP=y been enabled already.

if not this, support 1 device only.

Other :

      drivers/usb/musb/plat_uds.c                        FUNC: mode_4_cfg

      on linux/driver/usb/musb/musb_host.c      FUNC: musb_find_ep(...),  

       DM6446  support 4 CPPI channel : 0 1 2 3 
     forth channel for resv_rx/tx end,  only [ 0 1 2 ] support for different usb device.
     
     debug this info: when forth device opend, one CPPI channel been repeated, if it's rx_endpoint no data, driver didn't schedule the cppi endpoint to next for receive data.

Danny,

Can you post the output of "lsusb -v" command when you have all the devices connected. Pl. also evaluate the latest kernel snapshot (July snapshot) of DaVinci kernel from the Arago. I believe it is on 2.6.34.

Danny,

You cannot support more than 3 of the mentioned devices. If you have a high speed version of the devices then you could support more of such devices but since the current device apears to support only full speed operation we cannot support more than 3 such devices on DM6446 platform.

2. using 2devices trying, I can dial the two HUAWEI EM660, and I can see the ppp0 and ppp1 using ifconfig, but I can not ping.

I know that we should patch the kernel, but my kernel is MVL4.0 which is not fit the patch.

where can I get the kernel patched or the patches and the kernel unpatched?

you should select:

CONFIG_MUSB_SCHEDULE_INTR_EP=y

CONFIG_USB_MUSB_HDRC_HCD=y

I think you have patched the kernel, and you can see the select option, but there is no select option when I make menuconfig --> device driver --> usb support.

I think my kernel is too old and there is some problem with my hardware.
