AM5728: USB compliance test patterns

Hi Sitara fans!

I plan to do some compliance-like testing on my AM5728-based board. To do that, the board needs to output various test symbols to measure the "eye", estimate jitter, etc. I'm not going for a USB logo, but having the tests run to make sure the design is robust and has some margin.

I'm the HW engineer, and my SW engineer hasn't come across anything in the SDK that looks like a USB test pattern control. Can someone point us to the right file(s)?

I'm assuming the AM5728's USB interface has the symbols built in. It does, right?

Thanks, Biser! I don't see anything there about USB 3.0 SS. Is it in the same place as USB 2?

Hello,

USB3 differs from USB2 in that there is no TEST_MODE control required from SW. Once connected to the test equipment (scope+PERT+USB3 compliance package), the AM57xx will enter test mode under the direction of the test equipment. In effect, the test equipment itself puts the DUT into test mode.

Verified this in the test lab, after I fixed a hardware mistake.
USB2 still doesn't output test patterns. I'm tracking this in another thread.
