Hi TI Experts:

I use LCDK6748 to interface with TSC 2007 chip, I used starterWare-1-20-04-01 I2C interface program codecif.c to talk to TSC2007. I2C interface program works well in Main program, I can read/write data from TSC2007. when I move the I2C program to ISR routine, It stops. I use GPOI2-6 fall edge to trigger ISR. It enters to ISR, then stuck to I2C. What do I missed when I use I2C read/write in ISR? I used mask_INT4 for I2C, and mask_INT6 for GPIO interrupt. In the GPIO interrupt ISR, I2C read/write is included.

Starterware offers good examples of simple accesses to important parts of the C6748. You can take these examples and build a more complex system.

That does not mean that you can make changes like what you have done. You are apparently trying to run and interrupt-based I2C routine from within another interrupt service routine. This is not a good way to do this. It will be difficult to get it to work this way, so I recommend you do not do this unless your schedule allows for a lot of work on it. This is not something that we support through Starterware.

With the TI-RTOS system, we always recommend users do only a small amount of work within the ISR, and then post a semaphore to start a task or post to a software interrupt to start it running. Tasks and software interrupts can be interrupted when the data completion interrupts occur, while the ISR or Hardware Interrupt cannot be interrupted without special handling.

Will this be an acceptable way for you to try to meet your goal? Move to use the TI-RTOS system instead of just Starterware?
