memory mirroring in keystone 2 devices

Hello TI,

I am using TI Keystone device EVM K2K. Could you please let me know how to disable memory mirroring on the target? I can see the RAM address 0x80000000 is being morrored to 0xC0000000. I guess it is some config done in the GEL file. Please let me know how to disable it in the Gel file.

That might be local/global address feature, take a look in spec, that might clarify what you seeing. In short, there is nothing bad about that, the system is designed to give such a feature.

Hi rrlagic,

We are using the DDR at 0xc0000000 for some other purpose so we need to disable the mirroring for that.

Please disregard my previous message. In datasheet see very bottom at page 94. They say memory aliasing depends on the remap enable pin at boot time. That's end of memory map summary. Hope that helps you to trace required setting. I hope on EVM that can be done with some switch or so.

I don't have a EVMK2K to check, but on the assumption that a EVMK2K uses the same BMC as a EVMK2H then the BMC boot mode can be used to control the DDR3_REMAP_EN pin - see Changing the Bootmode
