run out of box demonstration 66ak2h14

hi everyone

because of several files in the site I am confused!! I have some question:

1- for running out of box demonstration for 66ak2h14 should we first run SDK on our board?

2- for finding IP of 66ak2h14 we should just connect the target to PC and connect Ethernet cable and power to it? nothing else is needed?

3-I can not a complete user guide from the first step to end for 66ak2h14 . every thing is confusing and there isn't a unique file which enplane how to run the the target and i'm really tired of searching. do you have a complete guide for sending me?

    1. Yes, you should first run SDK on the board.
    2. You should connect the board ethernet port directly to a PC with DHCP server running or change the 66ak2h14 network settings to static IP address but the simplest way is to connect the 66ak2h14 to a router where the board can obtain IP address and connect the PC to same network.
    3. All 66ak2h14 documentation is public available at:

    The Quick start guide document is available on the board manufacturers Website. When you get the EVM it should also be included in the BOX.

    Please use this steps and let us know if you are able to see the MAtrix Out of the Box demo. If not please check that the boot switches are setup correctly and the LCD is not indicating any power failure. If it is you may need a Power managment firmware update due to a know issue with Rev4.0 EVM.

    Once you complete the basic out of the box validation, you can download the Processor SDK software to start your development.

    You said "Once you complete the basic out of the box validation, you can download the Processor SDK software to start your development." but Tsvelotin replied my first question "Yes, you should first run SDK on the board."so your answers are different, so without SDK out of the Box demo will be run?

    Matin,

    The Out of box demonstration is flashed by the board manufacturer on the flash media on the device. So as long as the boot switches are setup to SPI NOR boot the demonstration should come up.

    Tsvelotin response is more to do with starting development on the EVM and not for Out of box experience.
