Dear team,

I am using beagalboard x-15. I am new with this processor.

For one of my image processing project, i want to interface four TMDSEVM572x camera modules.

Is this can be done with the existing Expander Headers provided in the board?

Please guide me the steps.

Also please guide me the programming approach. Please let me know if CCS example projects are available for that.

I want to add there is Sitara AM5728 processor in this development board.

Rahul,
are you using the X15 or our TMDSEVM572x? Also it seems to me you are connecting 4 x TMDSCM572x, correct?

Yes i am using your TMDSCM572X. And I don't want to use LCD in the evaluation module, so i am using only TMDSCM572x Camera Module "www.ti.com/.../TMDSCM572X".

Yes i want to use 4 x TMDSCM572X.
I want to interface camera with BEAGLEBOARD-X15 Development Platform having Sitara AM5728 processor "www.ti.com/.../beagleboard-x15 Documents".

please guide me the steps.

Rahul,
OK, thanks for clarifying. The steps are:
1) check the pinmux tool to see if the all the signals you will need for the 4 cameras can be available (1 for sure is available), considering the other interfaces that you may need for your application
2) check TMDSEVM572x schematic to see if those signals are all available in the headers
Remember that our board was designed to handle 1 Camera Module, that was the most common use case. I can not comment on the SW side.

Hi Rogerio,

I got the pinmux tool and will check the signal lines for each camera module.

I just want to know that there are numbers of pins that exist on the development board's Expander Header which includes around 60 pins on each header. So are all the pins user configurable or some of those are having by-default function or can not be used in user application.

There are pins that are user configurable and some are power pins...

Hi Rogerio,

I got the point and i have configured header pins for interfacing of 4 cameras.

One more thing i want to ask that please guide me some CCS based example projects (i.e. ADC input, PWM, LED toggeling) for Sitara AM5728 processor, so that i can start practising on programming this processor.

Later on i will do camera interfacing.

Rahul,
my friend told me the following:
Normally our customers download the Processor SDK to develop their software (www.ti.com/.../PROCESSOR-SDK-AM57X)
Also you can find the examples (the same that are in CCS) in our PROCESSOR-SDK-RTOS-AM57X, that is also available for free download.
This is the best alternative for your development.
