Problem with update UCD module

Hi every one,

My board is 66K2H14 rev4. I tried to find it's IP address but I saw "SOC power failure" I tried to update UCD module based on "bmc_tool_ucd_update_guide" file but I faced some problems:

*my PC is 64 bit and pyserial is just 32 bit, I installed python 2.7.11 but I couldn't installed pyserial 2.6 I searched a lot but I can find nothing good.

*I unistalled python 2.7.11 64 bit and installed python 2.7.11 32 bit and then I could install pyserial 2.6 too.

*everything was ok and I found bmc_tool.py file difficulty and I ran it I could find the version of the current UCD module versions but I could not update the UCD module it have some errors

I don't know what is the problem I have some guess:

1-my PC is 64 bit but I installed 32 bit Python--->if I want to install 64 bit python how can I install pyserial as it is 32 bit?

2-the file "bmc_tool.py" is old and I don't know where I can to find the the new version of it! could you please sent me the final version for 66K2H14 rev4?

and finally if you have some suggestion could you please tell me?

I could install pyserial on 64 bit python finally but still I have error and UCD module didn't update yet.

the error is attached below

please help me to solve this problem.

Matin,

Please try using a computer where the tools install and operate with the files versions provided. This workaround is know to be robust when applied correctly.

Tom,
Now every thing is ok I set up Python, Pyserial and ... . everything is ok but I have the error mentioned above.
there is no one to help me? I have power failure and I can't run my board!!! why I have the error which is shown above? I spent two weeks to fix this error but it doesn't fix yet :(

Matin,

Please see this thread where similar problems like yours were seen and they overcame the issue:

Also be sure to be using the bmc_tool.py file dated from 2016. The older one provided originally with the EVM is known to have a deficiency which provides a false success.
