Hi all

I have certain query regarding DDR frequency change which are listed below

1) How to change the DDR frequency ?

2) How can we check the change in frequency?

I am not using Vision SDK i am using a customized code that runs on TDA2x based SOC.

Hi Jithin,

You can modify the DPLL configuration for DDR as per the requirement. The structure to be modified is dpllDdrCfgOppNom_20 and it is there in file starterware_01_07_00_19\bootloader\sbl_lib\src\sbl_lib_tda2xx_prcm_dpll.c.

You can use the gel to get the frequency of the DDR. API is GetClockConfig.

Thanks for the reply. Can you please mention what is the maximum frequency that can be set for DDR? In my application i can see the DDR frequency configured as 532 MHz , is this the default frequency that is set?

Can i use below formula to calculate the DPLL frequency for DDR?
Fdpll = Fref × 2 × M / (N + 1)

Hi Jithin,

You can set up 532 MHz as max supported frequency on TDA2xx and the same is set by default.

Yes you can use the same formula for calculating Fdpll.

You have to consider M2 and 1/2 divider as well for calculating DDR frequency.
