c6657 evm power consumption

hi TI professors,

The c6657 evm provide a powe consumption table about evm and the sdram use 1650 mW .But when I use the DDR3 sdram power consumption provieded by Micron to estimation, it just have 480mW.is there difference in method about DDR3 SDRAM power consumption?

Hi Sunny,

The power consumption spreadsheet for the C6657 provides the power need for only that part on each of the rails. The power needed by the SDRAMs is not included. When sizing your power supplies you must add both the power needed by the C6657 and the power needed by the SDRAMs to determine the supply limits.
