Performance of DSPLINK sample applications

Hi,

I wrote to the OMAPL1x Processors Forum in order to undertand the real data transfer performance (in Mbps) of the all DSPLINK samples, Mariana suggested me to post the following question to the BIOS Forum:

Do you know what is the real throughput (in Mbps) for the Loop sample between ARM and DSP? What is the best use of DSPLINK in order to increase the data speed between ARM and DSP? My aim is to reach a maximum throughput of almost 20 Mbps between ARM and DSP.

I don't have any exact through put numbers.

MSGQ should reach 10 -15 Mbps between ARM and DSP. If you want a IPC with very little overhead and only data transfer capability, you can look at PROC_read and PROC_write. This should give you higher throughput.
