What is the lowest audio delays when doing time domain filters?

Is it possible to get the audio delay under 40us?

The answer depends on your application, and of the sampling rate that depends on application as well.
High sampling rate for audio (when the sampling is 16-bits or more) is about 40K or 40 samples per millisecond.

So depends on your filter you can calculate how many samples you need, and how long is the delay.
