TMS320C6678: How to enable DDR memory to use?

Part Number: TMS320C6678

Hi,

After some C6678 example projects run successfully, I want to move some code/data to DDR. It is a surprise that it fails. Then I trace down that DDR memory on C667 EVM cannot be modified. Even with the 'memory browser', its content cannot be altered as shown in the picture.

1. For a simple memory modification on DDR, such as memory browser, cache coherence is not an issue, is it right?

2. If I move some data or code to DDR, what do I have to do? I don't find an example project for this.

Thanks,

  • Hi Robert,

You could reference either the evmC6678 gel file, located in ~/ti/ccsv6/ccs_base/emulation/boards/evmc6678l/evmc6678l.gel, or you can refer to the pdk examples ~/ti/pdk_c667x_2_0_3/packages/ti/board/src/evmC6678/ you can see how to setup the plls, ddr, clocks and so on..

    Best Regards,
    Yordan
