TMS320C5535: Put data at fixed place in firmware

Part Number: TMS320C5535

Hello dear forum.

I have a quick question. Is it possible to put some data at a fixed place in the C5535 firmware?

I would like to put some specific data into the flash that the DSP boots from, and read it without having to trawl through the entire firmware.

Hope that some of you have an idea.

BR Christoffer

  • Hi,

I've notified the C55x team. Their feedback will be posted here.

  • Yes, it is possible. Usually the flash has the boot code but if there is more room in the flash you can add data. Look for the drivers that burn the flash and see how to burn in a specific address, and look for the protocol how to read from the flash (depends on what flash you use)

But I think is that the easiest way is to have the data as part of the code and load it to the flash when the boot code is burnt. Can you do it?
