Linux/PROCESSOR-SDK-AM335X: LTP-DDT dependencies

We are using Yocto to build our customized ROOTFS. On top of it, we installed LTP-DDT and tred to run DDT tests like MMC/eMMC/USB. Unfortunately all DDT tests tests are getting exited with error

losetup failed to create block device
no block device was specified on commandline.
Block device could not be created using loopback device
Tests which require block device are disabled.

But tests are running successfully when I used ROOTFS from TISDK release. It seems during the ROOTFS customization, few packages are missing. Can someone list the mandatory rootfs packages needed for LTP-DDT.

Yes.. Yordan. We are using Yocto instead of Arago. we are not building LTP-DDT as part of ROOTFS.

My rootfs doens't contain below tools as we don't need them. Is there any dependency of these tools to executed eMMC tests. Why because I am more interested to run eMMC and USB tests on my custom board.

alsa utilities
evtest
hdparm
iperf
lmbench
rt-tests (cyclictest)

There is a Yocto recipe to build LTP-DDT. Are you building LTP-DDT leveraging Yocto? It contains the following line:

RDEPENDS_${PN} += "pm-qa serialcheck"

These are run-time dependencies. Make sure you have them in your file system.

Hi Brad,

Can you please let me know link for yocyo LTP-DDT recipe. we couldn't able to find it. Hence we are building LTP-DDT separately after building the rootfs. I believe serialcheck is for UART tests and doesn't have any dependency to run eMMC tests.

BTW, can you please also share the link for serialcheck utility sources. LTP-DDT git doesn't contains the sources for this tool.

we cloned from git://git.yoctoproject.org/poky.git. We couldn't able to find ltp-ddt recipe and sources from serial check. Is there any other git repository.

You should go through the process of building the Processor SDK file system as delivered by TI:

http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Processor_SDK_Building_The_SDK

You will then have access to all the files/repositories I referenced previously.
