RTOS/AM5728: Basic UDP communication using NDK

Hi,

I am trying to build an application that simply echoes back received udp messages on GMAC_SW. I have been playing around with the example in "NIMU_BasicExample_idkAM572x_armExampleproject" from pdk_am57xx_1_0_5.

Unfortunately there is no example source code to setup a simple udp server. I also cannot find in the example code where I choose the physical port to use when transmitting/receiving data. Also there is no function for getting the MAC addresses.

Can you provide me with some example code for this purpose?

Hi Rickard,

NIMU on AM572x platform is still evolving, we don't have UDP server example code at this point. You may refer to NDK document, e.g TI Network Developer's Kit (NDK) v2.25 API Reference Guide, and other platform (C66x) example code to develop it.

For MAC address, please refer to SOCCtrlGetPortMacAddr() in pdk_am57xx_1_0_5\packages\ti\transport\ndk\nimu_icss\example\src, which retrieves MAC address from CTRL_CORE_MAC_ID_SW_x registers.
