Boot Loading vs Flash programing

Hello,

I am using 5509A DSP chip, and i am new to DSP chip...... I've used controller(Atmel), where i create program and download it to flash memory using third party software....

Here, what is boot progarm?.... Can we develop boot progarm in AVR studio(using C codes)?.... How should i download this into DSP chip(any specific software)?.... Can we use same software to download the flash program?.....

Pradeep,

The C5509A DSP has a ROM based bootloader that runs at Power On. Documentation on using the bootloader is available in this app note: http://www-s.ti.com/sc/techlit/spru375. You need to use TI's Code Generation Tools to compile source code to run on the DSP.

the spru375 seemed to be not the correct documentation. perhaps the following (rev F) is a better ref:
