AM5718: IDK EVM questions

Hi Team,

  1. We plan to order TMDXIDK5718 but the installed processor (AM5718AABCXEA ) must be at Rev 2 silicon.  Can you help confirm your development kits in stock contain the Rev 2 processor?

 

  1. TI web page at http://www.ti.com/tool/tmdxidk5718 says there is an optional 10” capacitive touch display, which is not included in the AM571x IDK by default.  We do need this option but do not know how to modify the Dev Kit p/n to include the optional display.

 

  1. It is possible that the optional capacitive touch display along with appropriate accessories can be ordered separately as AM57x IDK LCD Kit, TI #TMDXIDK57X-LCD. See http://www.ti.com/tool/tmdxidk57x-lcd#buy . But we need confirmation that this LCD Kit is compatible with AM571x IDK.

    I will double check with our board planner, but considering that the AM5718 was released to production less than 1 month ago, I doubt the boards we have right now in our inventory are the production version. Most likely it will be the preproduction version XAM5718AABCXEA.
    Regarding your second question, you can by the optional LCD display, it is compatible with AM5728 IDK as well as AM5718 IDK.
