RTOS/TM4C129ENCPDT: i2c interface without creating task

Hello Guys,

We needs to interface 5 sensors which use i2c for data transfer in our project. Is it possible to communicate by i2c in non task function?

I2C_transfer cannot be called from non-task thread. So, I think its not possible to create non-task I2C function. And by this am closing this question.

Hello Kenia,

is it possible to call any non task threads from main function. We needs to call pwm_open from main without initiating task?

With the current software, we recommend you call the driver_open calls from a task.

any example of using driver_open(). syntax of driver_open like header to include, arguments to be passed and all.

We have many driver examples in the product that use <driver>_open() (where <driver> is UART, I2C, etc.).

Sorry, i thought driver_open itself is a seperate API. so any driver_open can be called from non-task thread. Thanks for the help
