TMS320C6748: Difference between ENABLESET0 and ENIDXSET in INTC

I am confused by the regesters ENABLESET0 and ENIDXSET within the PRU INTC. Since both are writeable it seems like the ENIDXSET is superfluous. Am I missing something?

Please take a look in the C6748 TRM to find descriptions of these two registers. They offer different ways to accomplish the same thing.
