Reference the DDR3 register configuration. Per the errata the Hardware DDR3 Leveling does not work. For custom AM335x boards it is recommended in several forums to perform DDR3 using Software Leveling. This is performed using Code Composer and a JTAG interface to the custom board. But what if your custom board does not have a JTAG interface?
Is the AM335x DDR3 Software Leveling MLO Program written by TI China a good solution for boards with out JTAG? The MLO program is outlined in the "AM335x DDR3 Software Leveling Program MLO User Guide" and has very similar output that is described in the TI document "AM335x DDR PHY register configuration for DDR3 using Software Leveling". Both process use AM335x_DDR_register_calc_tool.xls and RatioSeed_AM335x_boards.xls.
Is the AM335x DDR3 Software Leveling MLO Program supported / recommended?
