AM335X: USB Hub not working

Dear TI

i am using a custom board based on AM335X same as BBB

  • CPU_USB_P and CPU_USB_M are connected to USB hub phy chipset.
  • we have not connected the USB1_DRVVBUS since the phy chipset controls the power on the VBUS to all ports connected on the HUB hence we left it as not connected.
  • USB1_VBUS which is the voltage sense we have connected it to 5V.

none of the usb devices are visible using lsusb command after reading this bellow forum

i realize that those 2 pins USB1_DRVVBUS and USB1_VBUS have to be connected can you please let me know where are these pins supposed to be connected to

on the PHY hub i am using USB2514Bi chipset bellow is the link for the datasheet ww1.microchip.com/.../00001692A.pdf

Regards

Nick

  • Hi Nick,

See   for correct connections. You can use a transistor circuit to control USB1_VBUS, something like this:
