Are you planning to boot from eMMC? If yes, there is 4GB limitation, see silicon errata

Advisory3.0.72 ROMCODE: ROM Code Does Not Support booting from eMMC Devices of Size 4GB or More on MMC1

No,used only as a MMC card for data storage.8127 can support eMMC5.0 64GB now on our board,while we are not sure that 128G eMMC5.1 can be supported.

DM8127 support MMC/eMMC v4.3 (same as AM335x). From hardware perspective there is no size/density restrictions. See the below e2e links fopr more info:
