TDAx for motor control and ISO ...

The TDAx is branded as an ADAS Applications Processor.

Based on our experience with the K2G, we would like to use one of the TDAx in our product for E-Motor control of an automotive vehicle.

Are there reasons not to use the TDAx in the motor control environment of a car?

Will the TDAx series be certified for ISO… as these mature parts:

Hi,

TDA3x device has the hardware means to support ISO 26262 (ASIL-B). I'm not sure if software is now up to date to support it.

TDA2x however doesn't have those modules, therefore is not capable to support safety standards.

TDA3x capabilities are listed in the TDA3x TRM:

"24.1 Safety Modules Overview
The device is targeted to meet functional safety standard ISO 26262. The key component to achieve the
ISO 26262 compliance is the Automotive Safety Integrity Level B (ASIL-B) safety standard. As a part of
ASIL-B compliance, the device integrates a field-test capability to meet Diagnostic Coverage of 90% on
critical processors such as DSP, IPU, EVE.
