TDA2EVM5777: 100 MBPS or 1 GBPS ethernet link

Hi,

I have ordered 703760-1031: Vayu ES 2.0 GP EVM Vision and 703761-1031: Vayu CPU Board ES 2.0 GP From Spectrum digital.

Are all the boards supports 1 Gbps Ethernet Link ?

What are differ versions of boards available ? what exactly will be difference between each version?

Is there any sub version of the boards we need to ask with the vendor ?

MY application is lane Keep assist,pedestrian detection,Obstacle detection.

Hi Vadivel,

from what I see here:
support.spectrumdigital.com/.../Vayu_Kit_Selector_ES2_web.pdf
the main difference between the two is just that "703760-1031" kit includes Vayu Vision Board.
They seems to have the same EVM CPU board so both should support 1Gbps.

>> You can find the differences in the link provided by Yordan but differences are not major and mostly bug fixes and new Silicon revisions.

IMP:
Please note that for Ethernet there are EVMs not supporting 1Gbps, you need to explicitly check if 1Gbps is supported before purchasing EVM.

Even in my existing board we are trying to find on weather it supports 1GBPS or not.

Can you give some idea on how to check on my existing board ?

Hello Vadivel,

Do you have any sticker on RJ45 connector saying it is 100Mbps? If no then it supports 1Gbps.

Anyway can you share EVM version info ?

There is a sticker saying 100 MBPS. My evm board details are
Tda2XX
BOARD VERSION:VAYU EVM XC5777x
s/N:VAI_1604001
ASSY 516580 REV

I told vendor already that i need evm board with 1GBPS ..They are also not able to give a clarity on the same.
Is there any version or revision of the board i need to tell them to supply ?? so that 1GBPs comes along that.

Vadivel,

Please share EVM revision. In your earlier reply you shared "ASSY 516580 REV" but not actual revision. Revision would be written after "REV".

About 1Gig supported EVM, your vendor needs to get information from EVM manufacturer explicitly. You can ask him to do so. There is no particular revision as such supporting not supporting 1G.
