Can I use and connect the TVP5158 TI EVM to the DM6446 TI EVM ?
Is the driver that use for the DM6467 for the TVP5158 chip can be used for the DM6446.
What are the limitations with the TVP5158 chip (video and audio decode) with the DM6446 chip ?

1) Yes you should be able to, but it would require some modification to the cables connecting the two boards or manufacturing of a simple connector board (from a hardware perspective)
2) From software perspective, you should be able to use DM6467 TVP5158 driver for the most part with some adjustments to V4L2 driver.
3) This is probrably the most important question. TVP5158 provides two 8-bit video outputs or a 16-bit video output; DM6467 video input port has the capability of receiving two 8-bit video inputs or a single 16-bit video input. DM6446 on the other hand can only receive a single video input (1 dedicated video input port) regardless of whether that video input is 8-bit or 16-bit. This is probrably why you find TVP5146 on DM6446 EVM, why pay for the extra capabilities of TVP5158 if you cannot use them with DM6446 (TVP5146 is more affordable)?
