AM5728: IDK device revision

Hello Champs,

One of my customer would like to buy TMDXIDK5728 EVM.
But customer would like to know which revision of AM5728 would be on the EVM they will buy, specifically if the EVM use XM5728 or AM5728.

Will customer get the TMDXIDK5728 which used AM5728, if customer take EVM order to disty today?
Or is there a way to get AM5728 on the EVM instead of XM5728?

Hi,

We have no way of knowing what distributors have in stock. From what I know XAM5728 devices are no longer mounted on EVMs for quite some time now.

Hi Biser,
Customer already bought XM5728 EVM, so they would like to buy AM5728 EVM.
You mentioned it depend on the disty's stock, but is there any information from TI? as like EVM part name or serial number(trace number)??

Let me rewrite this to better help you since this is a common question:

1) General Purpose EVM:

If your customer order TMDSEVM572X, it will come with the production device. The EVMs with pre-production silicon was called TMDXEVM5728.
Ti Store has the latest version for sure.

2) IDK Industrial Development Kit

The existing boards available today, are all using pre-production silicon. We are in process of starting the production of boards with production silicon. The only way to find out will be by checking with your distributor the manufacturing date of the board.
