Arago SDK vs. TI DVDSK components

I downloaded and built the Arago-based SDK for the 6467 to check out the included software components (though I'm actually interested in the 6446).

Regarding the dsp/bios link, the dsplib and the VICP lib: will these (and other high-level) components be added to the Arago environment to make it equivalent functionality-wise to the current TI DVSDK?  If so: what kind of timeframe are we looking at?

Thanks,

Orjan

  • I believe dsp/bios link (required to build codec combos dvsdk demos depend on) is or will be included in Arago, not so sure about dsplib or vicp lib since these are independant (not used by) of DVSDK software; however, if enough customers request it, we can....

  • Ok, I had a look at the arago environment again recently, and for the supported TI components (Codec Engine, CMEM, DSP/LINK etc) it seems the bitbake recipes simply download the various files distributed by TI and build them with their own environment variables.
