2048 point FFT

Hi,

Can I use the 2048 point FFT code given in the hwafft documentation with confidence? I am not good at interpreting FFT results and also not comfortable with the FFT process involving complex multiplication, addition etc.. So it is difficult for me to catch any bug in the code provided. So if someone, especially Mark, can verify that it gives correct value for 2048 point FFT, I'll use it.

Sorry for the delay. I have a tested project that executes 2048-pt FFTs on the eZdsps. It requires some optimization, though.

Hi Mark,

Did you ever post the code someplace? I am have noticed that the CPLX_Mul, CPLX_Add and CPLX_Subtract are not defined in the documentation and I have something going wrong with my FFT somewhere.

You should be able to test the FFT by generating a pure sine wave at a single frequency in the input buffer to the FFT. Then look at the results to confirm. I have done this in a separate test firmware to enhance my confidence in the various FFT implementations for the C5506.

Have any1 implmented this 2048 point FFT.

It would be nice if some1 can post how they implemented CPLX_Add,sub and Mul functions
