AM4379: SPI using PRU

Dear colleagues,

One of my customers is looking for help. He need to connect two SPI on AM437x PRU, each one connects to one own PRU. They are asking which pins do they need to use to connect to PRU0/1?

Can you please explain in more details? From your post I understand that they want to implement SPI on the PRU, but it's not clear what mode they want - master or slave. What are the external peripherals they want to connect?

The PRU serial shift-in is described in section 30.4.1.2.3.3 from the AM437X TRM Rev. F. Data input is pin pr<x>_pru<y>_gpi0, however in this mode data is sampled on an internal clock.

A more convenient method could be parallel capture. This is described in section 30.4.1.2.3.2 from the AM437X TRM Rev. F. Data input is pin pr<x>_pru<y>_gpi[15:0], and clock input is pr<x>_pru<y>_gpi16.
