AM5728: Pinmux tool question

Hi Support,

my customer is trying customizing ti/pdk_am57xx_1_0_5/packages/ti/board/src/evmAM572x/evmam572x_pinmux.c
The current task is to add pin multiplexing for SPI3 and SPI4.
They would probably be able to tailor the file manually after spending some time with debugging, but the feeling is that there should be some tool to generate it automatically. So they tried with pinmux tool

but they are not able to generate pinmux.c file, neither they've found how to use the generated devicetree.txt.

Could you please give me some hints as what is the recommended way to generate/modify pinmux setting for use in the PDK?

Hi Alberto,

Please find a thorough app note on how to use pinmux tool and generate files as needed:

Or simply for you current task you can configure the SPI3 and SPI4 as needed from the GUI and export a the pdk files. In the the boardPadDelayInit.c the tool will generate something like the below:

From there you can use that and paste it into the original "evmam572x_pinmux.c" file.
