Hello,

We're using jffs rootfs, and now need to resize (enlarge) file system.

Is it only a matter of changing paritition size ?

I know that with ex3 there is also resize2fs , is there something simliar with jffs or does it auto resize itself to the size of partition ?

Hi Ran,

Unlike other file systems where the partition size can be easily resized with tools like resize2fs for example the jffs file system must be deleted and created with the new size.
The linked below tutorial describes commands and steps for jffs file system creation if necessary:

I checked the link and the command, but there is no size argument when creating jffs:

host$ mkfs.jffs2 -r <root file system> -e <erase_block_size>  -s <page_size>  [-p]  [-n]  -o <output file>

You can add -p, --pad[=SIZE] option. See description of mkfs.jffs2 command in the man page or at:
