RTOS/AM5728: Full non-blocking UART example

All,

I wonder if we have a real non-blocking UART example (basic console or monitor) using Sys/Bios anywhere?

PDK contains RTOS driver examples but none seems to configure a non-blocking mode with callbacks. I hope I don't need to re-invent the wheel...

Hi Frank,

The TI-RTOS team does not do drivers for AM5x devices. I've moved your thread to the sitara team. They'll be able to answer your question (since they write the drivers for the PDK).

Check processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Processor_SDK_RTOS_UART for UART driver support, we have both UART_MODE_BLOCKING and UART_MODE_CALLBACK support.

For the code, uart\test\src\main_uart_test.c.

If this is for the ARM/DSP core then the UART test that Eric has pointed to works on the AM572x GP EVM. Please note that currently the callback mode has some issues with M4 test code that will be fixed in the PRSDK 3.3 release that will happen this scheduled for this week.

currently this is for the DSP. But mid-term I might use the same on ARM or M4 if the need for more debug control comes up.

Test code seems to be the closest to what I am looking for. I will have a look. Some of the APIs mentioned in the wiki seem to be for RTOS SDK 3.3. already. At least I can't find them in the PDK I am currently using (and I can't easily move forward due to other dependencies).
