TMS320C5535: Enhanced TIesr - Speech Recognition Library

Genius 12760 points
Part Number: TMS320C5535

I noticed that on the e2e forum there is a post saying that this TIesr solution is limited to two keyphrases and if the number of phrases is increased, the accuracy will drop.
Voice recognition question (C55xx): e2e.ti.com/.../547564
How to Increase Speech Recognition Accuracy Using TIesr API on C5535: e2e.ti.com/.../1952595

I would like to know if the number of phrases is still two or if there is a more recent version with more keywords?
Moreover, is there a 3rd party speech recognition firmware that runs on C5000?

Regards,
Bernd

  • Hi Bernd,

I've forwarded this to the experts. Their feedback should be posted here.

  • Bernd,

The TIesr engine has not changed since the TI design was put out last year. You can certainly try to add more keyphrases and see how the engine behaves; its just that we did not test it out with a large keyword set. Lorin's response on one of the threads you referenced has some good info.

Yes, Sensory (www.sensory.com/.../) is the 3rd party that we work with. They have a very high quality recognition engine that works very well on the C55x. They have support for multiple languages, keywords, etc.

Moreover, we have a couple of TI designs (C5517 and K2G) that are about to be released which does voice pre-processing (Beamforming, ASNR, MSS, DRC) that can be stitched to the front-end of a voice recognition engine to improve reliability. An 8 mic circular mic array is also part of this TI design which will be order-able on the TI store soon.

If you need more details on this, please send me an email and I can get you more information.
