Linux: Yocto build for dra7xx machine

Hi ,

I have been able to build the yocto build for dra7xx-evm and have been successfully generated MLO , uImage, zImage and rootfs files.

I have extracted the images and rootFs file system on to SD card and I am trying to boot it on TI TDA2x but nothing comes on console .

So could you please help me in this If i have missed any steps while flashing the image .

Hi Vinayak,

I suspect that the debug console settings are not correct. Are you follow some tutorial and if it is true could you post a link to it? Also could you share your bootargs?
One more hint if you are using Linux on your PC where the board consoles is connected execute the following command when the board is disconnected:

ls /dev/tty*

then execute the same command after connecting and starting the board. If in the list appears a new node this is your board.

Did you copy uenv.txt to boot directory of SD? If copied, have you added proper dtb file in uenv.txt?

Yes I have copied the attached uenv.txt to boot directory and have added following dtb files in root/boot,

zImage-dra7-evm.dtb zImage-dra7-evm-lcd-lg.dtb ;zImage-dra71-evm.dtb;zImage-dra72-evm.dtb;

Hi Cvetolin Shulev-XID ,

I have successfully able to to boot the linux image for vision sdk 2.10 ( i have followed steps in vision sdk user guide in docs folder of vision sdk).

But when I build using yocto I am facing this issue , and my uEnv.txt contains following,
fdtfile=zImage-dra7-evm-lcd-lg.dtb
mmcargs=part uuid mmc 0:2 uuid; setenv bootargs "console=ttyO0,115200n8 vram=16M root=PARTUUID=${uuid} rw rootwait ip=none mem=1024M"
