AM3352: GPIO load capacitance

Hi,

What could be the maximum load capacitance that AM335x GPIO could support?
I understand this won't be mentioned in the datasheet.

In our application below pins need to be connected to a high capacitance devices,
will such high load capacitance destroy the GPIO?

M18(MDC) pin -> 2200pF load
U17(GPMC_WPn) pin -> 120pF load

As per the below E2E, it seems the AIN terminals was designed with the capability of
driving high capacitance loads, will it be similar with other pins (above) also?

Hi,

The AIN pins are analog inputs, completely different from GPIOs. If you are in doubt you can place small serial resistors on the GPIO pins to limit surge currents.

You need to consider the surge current that will be generated when GPIO changes state. This current should be limited in some way. Personally I would prefer to buffer the signal.
